Allied Technical Services (ATS) is an online, time-saving specification information system. The company directly connects the design community and their building specification requirements with leading manufacturer products and builds customized quotes for their clients.
The ATS quotation team consists of mechanical quotation specialists who act as the wholesale client’s internal quotation department.
CHALLENGE
ATS’ Mechanical Quotation Engineers (MQEs) are high-knowledge, highly paid workers that spend a significant amount of time manually aggregating, synthesizing and identifying inconsistencies within large volumes of data and using multiple data formats. The MQEs have expressed that data overload makes their job error-prone and difficult to identify important & relevant information and to prioritize it.

Orbiseed’s enterprise software solution integrated its patent-pending AI into ATS’ existing engineering workflows (internal and third-party) to boost capacity without adding staff, improve operational efficiency and accuracy, and ultimately increase profit margins.
An extensive user journey was created following several interviews and screensharing sessions to identify bottlenecks and pain points prior to customizing the application for ATS. Orbiseed then created a user-friendly application to integrate with ATS’ existing systems.
